Dear Doctor,

Greetings from FSS of IMA – TNSB.

We are happy to inform you that the Family Security Scheme of IMA – TNSB was launched during 239th State Council Meeting at ERODE on 18.7.2004.

This Scheme is aimed to help the IMA members family in the event of death of a IMA Doctor who is a member of this scheme.

Non refundable deposit from members as follows :
1. Less than 30 years - Rs. 1,000/-
2. 31 to 40 years - Rs. 2,500/-
3. 41 to 50 years - Rs. 4,000/-
4. 51 to 60 years - Rs. 7,500/-
5. 61 to 70 years - Rs. 1,00,000/-
WINDOW PERIOD - SIX MONTHS

and Rs. 4,000/- (Four thousand only) as Advance Amount for Rs. 20 deaths should also be sent with the non refundable depost amount as noted above. After 20 deaths again Rs. 4,000/- will be collected.

As per the decision of the FSS General Body Meeting
6. 61 - 70 years - Rs. 1,00,000/- (+) plus advance amount of Rs. 24,000/- totally Rs. 1,24,000/- upto June 2009 from July 2009 to December 2009 - Rs. 1,00,000/- (+) advance amount of Rs. 28,000/- - totally Rs. 1,28,000/- - From January 2010 to March 2010 - Rs. 1,00,000/- (+) advance amount of Rs. 32,000/- - totally Rs. 1,32,000/-

Note : From 01.04.2010 upper age limit is only 60 years. Above 60 years are not eligible to join.

7. Eligible to join the scheme only after six months of becoming life membership


SALIENT FEATURES OF THIS SCHEME :

WINDOW PERIOD : This Scheme is operatable after six months of becoming the member of the Scheme i.e. then only the death amount will be paid to the family. The member die earlier i.e. within six months after joining the Scheme no amount will be given to the family.

Rs.200/- to be paid by each member for every death of a member.

As per the decision of the General Body Meeting of FSS held at Nagercon on 27.01.2008, maximum target fixed is Rs.15 lakhs to be given to the families of the deceased members, according to the number of enrolled members in the scheme at the time of death of a member.

Rs.200 x Number of members in this scheme at the time of a death of a member will be paid to the family.

This Scheme will be run by a SEPARATE WING of IMA-TNSB, Managed by Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer Joint Secretary and Management Committee members.

FSS application must be sent through the IMA Local Branch Secretary.
